The course takes place in the beautiful Applewood Community Centre, Swords, and there is free parking available.

The course runs for 5 consecutive weeks and classes are non-transferable. Please check the dates in advance.

Each class lasts one hour, from 7-8pm, please arrive promptly.

The class is suitable after 12 weeks of Pregnancy right up until the day you give birth.

The maximum number of spaces is 15 so we have plenty of room to feel comfortable.

HELEN PLASS

Hey, I’m Helen and my passion is to help women feel more comfortable in pregnancy, have easier births (yes - easier and pretty powerful births!), they can actually enjoy. Having had three fit, healthy pregnancies and active, natural births myself, I know exactly how it feels to have an awesome pregnancy and enjoyable birth experience, and a quick and strong recovery. I'm a Pre- & PostNatal Fitness Specialist & Yoga Instructor, specializing in Active Birthing techniques, as well as a Personal Trainer. Over the years, I’ve been privileged to help over a thousand women through my popular yoga classes and birthing workshops.

I am a contributor to Dr. Sarah Duvall's world-leading women-focused corrective exercise certification for fitness and healthcare professionals, 'Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist Course', as well as many Irish media platforms.  I look forward to supporting you on your Pregnancy, Birth, and Motherhood journey.

"Helen I wanted to let you know about the safe arrival of our beautiful little girl, Seoda. She arrived into the world with gusto weighing 5lbs 7ozs, as you know she had to come early. I did your yoga class before I left the house! I took off with my mat and ball (none of which I did first time around). I was given the gel at midnight. I relaxed and slept until 5am. Then out I got on my mat and ball. I was examined at 8:15am and was 3cm. My waters broke, I continued on my mat on my own, breathing through my contractions until the midwife came in and could see the baby's head! Our daughter was born at 9:48am on all fours. My husband just about made the birth! He was sooo happy when he entered the room and saw me on the mat. My dream came true Helen! It was the most amazing experience!! I'm happy & empowered to say, you made this experience one of the best things I have done in my life! I feel amazing after it. "Hi Helen, Baby Fern arrived yesterday at 2.40pm. It went very fast in the end! I went into labour at 7am & stayed upright through it all, and I used the tools I learned from you over the past 6 months. The midwives were shocked when they checked me at 12.30 to say I was 9cm dilated! So my husband just made it in on time! We are over the moon with our little girl Helen. I have had 3 children myself, all birthed naturally, and have taught more than 1,000 women to flourish in their pregnancy, and prepare for a truly empowered, amazing birthing experience...whatever type of birth you are hoping for!

You'll meet lots of local mums to support you on your journey too and make new friends :-)

We'll have the chats at the start of each class and I'll give you advice on any issues you may be experiencing during your Pregnancy. 

During each class we strengthen and gently stretch out the body, and of course, we finish with a soothing relaxation...the best bit for most ladies!

WHO SHOULD COME TO A PRENATAL YOGA CLASS?

Honestly - anyone who is pregnant! The Yoga class encompasses so much...whether you are there more for the physical exercise, the relaxation, the birth preparation part, or just to get out and attend in-person classes again, feeling part of your community, everyone will get something out of the class...I promise!

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never practiced Yoga before, if you're an exercise bunny, if you've no other kiddies or if your house is already busy. No matter where you are now, the class has something for you. I adapt each exercise for all abilities.

"She’s here, baby Katie Sarah 8’3’ what a little diva, born at 1.46am after a very progressively short labour, didn’t have time to use pool and thankfully any other measures just plain old yoga breathing and movements. Helen once again ur golden spool of thread breath worked and I’m a new mama to a little beauty! Waters broke along with Katie’s head appearing, she’s a drama queen, anyway thank you, thank you for all your kindness and support

I wanted to say a big thank you for all your advice during The Empowered Birth classes. I was incredibly lucky to have the fast and natural labour & delivery I hoped for!
