You're one step closer to your Empowering Birth!
Do you feel your body is strong, open and flexible during your pregnancy?
Do you feel you are on top of your Pelvic Health in this Pregnancy?
Yes I'm pretty comfortable with that
No, I need to learn more about good pelvic health and my pelvic floor
Are you experiencing any pain in the body during this pregnancy like back, sciatic, rib, pelvic?
No, thankfully, I'm all good!
How is your Sleep quality? Do you think you're getting adequate sleep right now?
My Sleep is just about right I think
I'm struggling to get to sleep or stay asleep :-(
How relaxed / nervous are you feeling about this pregnancy?
I'm feeling quite comfortable about my mental well-being during this pregnancy, and can easily relax when I feel myself getting a bit stressed.
I'm feeling quite anxious at times and probably need some help to relax more
Regarding your upcoming birth...how calm are you feeling?
I'm a little nervous which I know is normal, but otherwise feeling good! I got this!
Calm?! Eh no, I wouldn't say that! I'm feeling quite nervous about the whole thing.
Are you aware of the power of Positive Affirmations, and how they can positively influence your birth?
Yep, I'm all over them. I love to repeat my affirmations and find them really helpful :-)
No, I don't really know much about them, but I'm open to learning!
How are your knowledge levels in terms of labour - what happens at each stage, what to expect, when to go into hospital etc?
Not a clue! I'm presuming the doctors and midwives will just tell me what I need to do.
I've done my own research so feel pretty informed about different aspects of labour.
Do you know about the different drugs that you can use for Pain Relief during labour, and all the pro's and con's associated with each?
Hmmm, no I don't really know too much about the options and why I should or shouldn't take certain drugs at different stages of labour.
Yes, I've researched all the drugs and feel very empowered with my knowledge.
Inductions...they are very common in Ireland (& many Westernized countries). Do you know why you should / shouldn't have one...or how you could speed up your own natural labour...or even why medically unnecessary inductions are controvertial?
Nope...I really don't know too much about them.
Yes, it's something I'm aware of and have done plenty of my own research.
Are you aware of the different positions you and your birthing partner can practice during labour to help to ease pain or discomfort, also optimizing space in the pelvis for baby...as well as speeding up the labour process naturally?
Yep, I'm all over my birthing positions and already am practicing them as I know they are so powerful!
No, I don't really know exactly what to do.
